I Can’t Believe They Can Finally READ

Like, for real read. They can read together. They can read on their own! They can read out loud and silently and we can all curl up on the couch together and just READ! It's a Momma Bookworm's dream come true you guys!      I remember being so disappointed when trying to read a book to a baby less than a year old and realizing that it would be many many moons before said child and I could actually cozy up and ENJOY a book together. Fast forward a thousand sessions of various Dr. Seuss, The Gruffalo, Love You Forever, No Jumping on the Bed, and Miss Hunnicutt's Hat and this is finally happening...     They're so close in age that even though Elsa can read much more extensively, Anna is not to be outdone and wants to be right there in that chapter book with her. Local Event | Corning Library | Spring Book Sale

  Hey Corning folks! Don't miss out on some fabulous deals at the library's Spring book sale this week! It started yesterday and ends May 7. Here are the details from their website: The sale starts Saturday April 30 with a members only day from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Nonmembers can join at the door: $5 for an individual and $10 for families. Sunday May 1 hours are noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday is 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., Friday is 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday May 7 is 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Discounts will deepen each day. The final day will be a bag and box day. Fill one for a set price. Cash and checks only, please. There will be more than 30,000 items from which to choose. From paperbacks to hardcovers and the occasional rare book, shoppers are sure to leave the sale happy. Proceeds benefit the Southeast Steuben County Library.
